The Batman director Matt Reeves has teased a bit about what fans can expect from his new take on the Caped Crusader.
Robert Pattinson is set to take on the mantle of the iconic DC hero in the new movie, though Reeves has admitted this incarnation will not be “fully formed” yet.

“I just felt like well, what I’d love to do is to get a version of this Batman character where he’s not yet fully formed,” he told Nerdist.
“Where there’s something to do in this context with who that guy would be in this world today, and to ground him in all of these broken ways. Because at the end of the day, this guy is doing all of this to deal with trauma in his past.”
The Batman‘s filming was recently halted due to current lockdown restrictions, with the director recently updating fans on where things stand.
“Yes, we have shut down till it is safe for us all to resume,” he responded to one fan on Twitter.
While many details of the movie still remain under wraps, star Peter Sarsgaard recently teased some information about his character, District Attorney Gil Colson.
“I’m a district attorney and I’m basically a politician that has trouble telling the truth,” he explained.
The Batman is also set to star the likes of Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, Colin Farrell and Andy Serkis.
The Batman has a release date of June 25, 2021.
