Twitter Not Happy With Bake Off Results

*Spoilers Ahead*

Last night saw Alice, Steph, David and Rosie return to the Great British Bake Off tent for Patisserie Week, where they battled for their place in next week’s grand final. But for yet another week, in what seems to have been a trend throughout this year’s series, fans on Twitter weren’t too happy with the result.

Alice, Steph, David and Rosie.

The website Vanquis have been analysing conversations on Twitter.

After coming out on top for the Technical Challenge, Rosie was sent home, following a disappointing performance in the Showstopper Round. But it seemed Rosie’s departure didn’t go down too well with fans, with nearly 63% of the 6,857 tweets sent about the Somerset-born baker being either angry or sad!

The Judges vs The People

Throughout this year’s Bake Off, there has been a clear difference in opinion between Paul and Prue and the general public, with a number of fans favourites sent home seemingly before their time!

Last week, Henry was sent home, despite being the most talked about contestant still in the show, with 15,794 mentions on Twitter. The only contestant to generate more conversation this year was Jamie, who despite being sent home in the first week, had 16,559 tweets posted about him.

Michael and Helena were the third and fourth most tweeted about contestants, with 9,977 and 8,489 mentions each, and both of them were also recently sent home!

Let’s see if the judges can get it right and keep the fans happy for next week’s final!
