A Scottish man has been criticised by health and safety bosses after being filmed launching a firework from his bottom.
In the video, posted on Twitter, it shows a the firework being placed between the man’s bum cheeks by another person.
His friend, wearing a black rain coat, then proceeds to light the firework, and the friends begin laughing.
A friend helps put the rocket between the man’s bum cheeks and then lights it.
Another man says off camera: ‘It’s burned up your back, your T-shirt’s wrecked.’
The rocket suddenly goes off and sparks shoot down the man’s back causing him to lurch forward and quickly remove it from his bottom before it explodes.
A spokesman for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents told The Sun: ‘It doesn’t take a bright spark to know that fireworks are not to be toyed with.
‘Historically, around 1,000 people visit A&E for treatment of a firework-related injury in the four weeks around Bonfire Night.
The man, who has a Scottish accent, removes the rocket from hit bottom and it then explodes.
‘We recommend families enjoy fireworks at an organised display and follow the Firework Code, which can be found on our website.’
The video appears to have been filmed in someone’s back garden.
At the start of the clip a child is ushered inside while they take part in the dangerous stunt. The man’s identity is not known, but he has a Scottish accent.
