It has been four years since 34-year-old Gaga released her last album, however it looks like the wait will be more than worth it for fans after a trio of high profile collaborations were revealed.
Chromatica is the title of the upcoming sixth studio album from the chart topping star, and it had originally been planned to be released on 10 April.
However, release plans were put on ice until later in the year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic – and the singer had been seeking to keep full details of the album under wraps.
Vulture reports that this plan fell apart, however, as US retail giant Target made the album available to pre-order, but accidentally uploaded the artwork for the back of the album case, showing the world the full listings of song titles and duet partners.
Fans were excited to note that Sir Elton John is listed to feature on a song called Sine from Above, Ariana Grande is featured on a track called Rain on Me, and South Korean girl group Blackpink are listed to feature on another track titled Sour Candy.
Following the error of the retail giant, Gaga hastily published the image of the back of her album via social media, confirming the news and sparking a frenzy of excitement from fans.
Lady Gaga has impressed many around the world in the past week after organising a huge benefit concert featuring dozens of high profile stars and celebrities in association with Global Citizen and the World Health Organisation to raise funds and awareness about the coronavirus.
The singer also left fans in turmoil in March when she dropped the bombshell that her new album release was being postponed.
Sharing the news via Instagram at the end of last month, the star wrote: “I hope you can see that when the album does come out, I want us to be able to dance together, sweat together, hug and kiss each other, and make it the most bombastic celebration of all time.”
She continued: “Until that time comes, let’s all stay home!”
She added: “I promise you that when we can of out again, I’m going to make it so much fun. I can’t wait to be dancing with you all!”
A renewed release date is yet to be confirmed by the star.
