The fried chicken chain is recruiting staff for a new branch

Fried chicken chain KFC could be opening its first branch in Wokingham.
The fast food chain has been tight lipped about the plans but is advertising for a number of roles at a new branch in the town centre.
They are recruiting for four different positions, team leader, cook, and full time and part time members, for a restaurant in Elms Road.
The area in Wokingham has undergone major regeneration with a number of new units around Elms Field, being taken up by a range of different businesses from Starbucks to an independent boutique children’s clothes shop and a pirate-themed soft play.
No details have been released about the exact location and KFC has been contacted about staff numbers and a potential opening date.
Elms Field is part of the Wokingham town centre regeneration.
The area has become transformed to a leisure hub with an Everyman cinema, Aldi supermarket, Premier Inn and new playground.
Last year, KFCÂ announced it wanted to open 10Â drive thru style locations in Berkshire.
At the moment, the closest KFC for fried chicken aficionados in Wokingham is the one in Bagshot Road, Bracknell.
