Kanye isn’t happy (shock), and this time it’s because Forbes has announced that he is officially a billionaire, according to their numbers.
All good news you’d have thought. Especially since Kanye was reportedly not happy after Forbes refused to label him a billionaire last year when he was on their cover in August.
Then, earlier this month, when the title released its annual billionaire’s list, Kanye was omitted from the list and reportedly texted a Forbes journalist saying, “You know what you’re doing… You’re toying with me and I’m not finna lye [sic] down and take it anymore in Jesus name.”
Over the weekend Forbes announced that they have received “new information” and are currently valuing Kanye West at $1.3bn, officially making him a billionaire. On their website Forbes states “New information about Kanye West’s deal with Adidas for sneaker brand Yeezy convinced Forbes to call the entrepreneur and musician a billionaire.”
But… Kanye is still not happy. He claims that he is actually worth three times more than Forbes’ valuation, and is said to have texted editors at the title saying “It’s not a billion. It’s 3.3 billion [sic] since no one at Forbes knows how to count.”
Time for airplane mode I reckon…
