Iain Stirling has revealed that he’s giving away free tickets to NHS staff for the filming of his upcoming Amazon Prime special. The resident Love Island voiceover explained that the gesture is a way of thanking healthcare workers fighting coronavirus on the frontline.
Taking to Twitter to share the news, Iain wrote: ‘I’m excited to announce I’ll be filming my Special with Amazon Prime at the Alexandra Palace Theatre.
‘As a thank you all tickets to this show will be FREE to NHS staff, whose hard work and dedication on the front line of Covid-19 to help save lives has been truly amazing.’
Last year, it was confirmed that Iain had bagged his own Amazon comedy special, with the expectation of it landing on the streaming service in 2020.
With the stand-up gig scheduled for 22 November, the release date looks set to be pushed back to a further date.
Iain follows the likes of comedian Chris Ramsey and Ed Gamble, who both filmed specials for the streaming giant in 2019.
Last Thursday, Iain and his girlfriend Laura Whitmore joined the nation in clapping for our NHS heroes fighting on the frontline, along with their dog Mick.
The couple, who are in lockdown together in their London home, stepped outside to show their support for everyone helping to stop the spread of the pandemic and applauded alongside their neighbours.
Every Thursday at 8pm, the nation has been clapping for carers to show NHS staff how thankful we all are and to recognise how difficult this time must be for them.
