If your child is struggling to read, there’s now a very unique way for you to help them improve their skills

Last year Venom star Tom Hardy had parents up and down the country swooning as he appeared on CBeebies bedtime stories for a second time.

The TV campaign was so popular that it’s now even inspired a private tutor brand to launch a new service – with their very own version of the Hollywood star.

Exam Papers Plus are launching a new Book Buddy service, where you can hire a Tom Hardy lookalike to come to your school or home to teach your child to read.

Yes, really.

The quirky service aims to encourage more reading within schools and encourages parents to pick up a book and take part in story time and we’ll bet it will do the trick.

The Tom Hardy lookalike, whose real name is Dave, has partnered with the service for a limited time and will be going round the UK visiting primary schools to deliver reading sessions and private one-to-one tutoring.

And to make things even more interesting, Dave will take costume requests, so you can see him dressed as your favourite Tom Hardy character during the visit.

The service will be available throughout March and prices for a one-hour school reading session will start from £100.

One-on-one sessions will cost £80 for an hour. These costs include travel fees.

The new service is already causing a stir in school staff rooms across the country, with Exam Papers Plus claiming to have been inundated with messages from teachers with very specific requests to come to their local school.

Faisal Nasim, Director and private tutor at Exam Papers Plus, said: “We believe that creativity and inspiration can sometimes be lacking in the private tuition experience.

“We have received an influx of requests or lookalike tutors from Harry Potter to Tom Hardy to make learning fun again so las year we launched School of Magic which was hugely popular amongst the wizarding fans and now launch the Tom Hardy reading service and already seen huge demand.”
