Residents have been sent a letter warning of filming taking place in the area, including use of a helicopter
The latest instalment of the Jurassic Park franchise is believed to be filming in Hampshire.
Residents in Camberley, Blackwater and Minley have been sent a letter detailing dates and times for the shooting of a “family friendly” film produced by Universal Pictures over the coming days.
Filming for the movie, which the letter states is titled “Arcadia”, begins on Monday (March 9) at around 7pm and will continue through to around 5am on Tuesday (March 10).
According to fan site Jurassic Outpost, “Arcadia” is actually the working title for the third Jurassic World movie featuring the likes of Avengers star Chris Pratt and Terminator actress Bryce Dallas Howard.
Filming will resume over the same time frame later on Tuesday. Helicopter flying is scheduled to take place overnight on Wednesday (March 11).
The movie’s director, Colin Trevorrow, revealed that the latest instalment in the series would be called “Jurassic World: Dominion”.
A tweet from the director on February 25 hinted that filming was getting under way.
A letter to residents, from location manager Matt Risebrow, said: “I am writing with regards to a new filming project, which will be taking place at Hawley Common and Minley Woods this coming March 2020.
“Currently titled ‘ARCADIA’, the film is a family friendly franchise produced by Universal Pictures, and will be due for worldwide cinematic release in the summer of 2021.
“Our filming is due to take place over three nights from Monday (March 9) – Wednesday (March 11). Included in our filming will be one night of helicopter flying, split between Hawley Common and Minley Woods, currently expected to be Wednesday.”
The location manager was contacted for more information on the filming, but no information could be disclosed. Universal Pictures has also been contacted for more information.
The Hollywood blockbuster series of films has form for filming in Hampshire, too. Filming for the second in the series, “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” also took place around Hawley Common and Minley.
Meanwhile filming for the second series of huge Netflix show The Witcher is currently taking place near Dorking.
