Dumfries and Galloway To help With Census

Dumfries and Galloway is one of three areas selected for a rehearsal to help National Records of Scotland deliver a successful census in 2021.

Households in parts of Dumfries and Galloway are to be asked to take part in the rehearsal to test the census collection for those in rural and border communities.

Around 18,000 households in parts of Dumfries and Galloway will have received a letter with more information about the rehearsal and details on how to participate.

People will be asked to take part from Biggar in the north to Eastriggs in the south and from Dumfries in the west to Langholm in the east. They are being asked to complete the rehearsal census, which is voluntary and can be completed online or by paper, on or around 13 October, with a final deadline of 7 November
