Coventry and Warwickshire are set to be battered by 18 hours of rain on Sunday in a weekend wash-out.
Forecasters at the Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain in the city and surrounding areas on Sunday, October 6.
The warning is in place from midnight until 6pm.
Homeowners have been warned that “flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely”.
There could also be some interruption to power supplies and other services as well.
And those travelling have been warned of spray and flooding on roads which will see journeys take longer than expected.
Those travelling by public transport have been urged to check their journeys ahead of time as they could take longer.
