Where the cheapest homes in Berkshire were sold in 2019

Hundreds of homes were sold in Reading, Slough, Maidenhead, Bracknell, Windsor, Wokingham and West Berkshire last year

We’ve all been there.

Ogling at the beautiful family homes in the estate agents, imagining what it might be like to own your own home.

We often enjoy looking through the pictures of the fancy estates and properties with swimming pools littered across Berkshire, dreaming one day for just a small piece of the world for ourselves to call our own.

But not every single home across our county is on the market for in excess of £1m.  In fact, the cheapest property sold in Berkshire last year was a flat in Slough which sold for a very modest £49,000.

Ok, so maybe it wasn’t as cheap as the six properties which all sold for £15,000 in Sunderland, Burnley, and Northumberland. But unless you are willing to move quite a long way from Berkshire, you’re looking at more steeper prices.

In total, 817,237 homes were sold in England and Wales during 2019 according to the Land Registry – down from 850,220 that had been registered in 2018.

Here are the cheapest homes sold in Berkshire in 2019.
