Infinity Ward has seemingly learnt nothing from the complaints about Trios and removed another popular game mode from Warzone.
Another day, another game mode that’s suddenly been yanked from Call Of Duty: Warzone without warning, although at least this time it’s not trios. Twice now Infinity Ward has taken trios out of the usual battle royale rotation and twice now they’ve been forced to put it back in due to fan complaints.
It’s still there at the moment but this time they’ve taken out quads from Warzone’s Plunder mode and fans are equally unhappy that popular options keep being taken out, instead of just being added to.
Rather than trolling fans (although maybe there’s an element of that, who knows?) the reason Infinity Ward keep doing this is that they’re trying to promote other modes and options that people wouldn’t normally try if the most popular ones were always available.
In this case Plunder quads has been replaced with Plunder duos, which means you play in a team with just one other player rather than three.
But fans seem pretty adamant that they don’t want to play Plunder that way, pointing out that Plunder quads is one of the best ways for new players to learn the ropes – since they’re part of a large team and can just hang back until they know what’s going on.
Many players have requested that battle royale keep solo, duos, trios, and quads modes as standard, no matter what else changes, but now it seems like Plunder quads will be added to that list.
