An animal sanctuary is on the hunt for volunteers to spend some time showing their pigs a bit of love, everything from belly scratches to feeding them cookies
Do you love animals and want to spend more time cuddling them?
Well an animal sanctuary is currently on the hunt for people to come and hang out with their pigs and give them hugs, belly rubs, talk to them and feed them cookies.
Sounds like good fun, right?!
But before you go planning to spend all your free time volunteering with the piggies at Cotton Branch Farm Sanctuary, it’s worth noting that the position is actually based in the US.
Cotton Branch is located in South Carolina and shared their search for volunteers on Facebook, writing: “Do you want to help make a huge difference in the lives of the pigs of Cotton Branch?

“Come help socialize our adoptable residents so they can move into our adoption program with ease!
“Belly scratches, cookies, sitting with them and even just talking to our pig friends can get them ready for their new home.”
The farm, which looks after around 100 pigs at any time as well as a variety of other animals, went viral after sharing this advertisement.
Hundreds of people liked and shared their post with many saying they’ll be signing up to get involved.
One person commented: “I SIGNED UP I’M SO EXCITED!!!”
Another replied: “I honestly would take vacation time to snuggle!”
“The idea of being a piggie cuddler makes me cry all the tears. All of them,” proclaimed a third. “I live in Canada and I am seriously considering taking some vacation/self-care time for this incredible volunteer opportunity.”
Someone else added: “I just love pigs, they are sweet precious animals.
“I would love to take a trip to your sanctuary and cuddle these cuties. God bless you for saving them and the other animals.”
Those interested in getting involved can do so easily by signing up on Cotton Branch’s website.
The site states that volunteers don’t need to go through any kind of orientation but must be 18 years or older, or if between 16 and 18 then you’ll need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, “no exceptions”.
And if you can’t actually go and cuddle the pigs, then you can always help the sanctuary by making a donation. The farm offers various different options for supporting them, including a one time donation, becoming a monthly partner or sending them something they need from their Amazon Wishlist.
