Sir Andy Murray and wife Kim Sears are celebrating the arrival of their first son, it was revealed last night.

Their son is understood to have been born last week at a hospital in London, near the Wimbledon champion’s home in Oxshott, Surrey.

Sir Andy’s grandfather has said both mother and baby are doing well. Roy Erskine, 88, told The Sun: ‘It’s a wee boy, I don’t know his name yet. I’ve seen photos. They’re doing fine.’
The birth comes as Sir Andy continues his comeback from major hip surgery.
Following his win at the European Open in Antwerp last month, he joked that he needed to get back on the road because his ever-expanding family was getting ‘out of control’.
