The new movie will “focus on three young women dealing with sexism and chauvinism in the workplace, who turn to the original trio for help in navigating and getting even with the coarse male higher-ups.”
According to Deadline, the studio is looking at 42-year-old Jones to revamp and “make the concept relevant to a young comedy audience.”
In an era of #MeToo and Times Up, where women and men are bringing to light sexual harassment in the workplace should make the new movie timely.
Dolly was reunited with Jane and Lily at this year’s 69th Annual Emmy Awards. She surprisingly suggested, “Personally, I’ve been waiting for a ‘9 to 5’ reunion ever since we did the first one.”
