Florida Shooting Survivor Responds To Fox’s Tomi Lahren Controversial Tweet
The tragic events at a Florida, high school have many talking about implementing sensible gun control laws. But some on the right, like Fox’s Tomi Lahren, would like the left to hold off on these discussions for at least 24 hours. This didn’t sit well with a survivor of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida rampage.
Tomi writes, “Can the Left let the families grieve for even 24 hours before they push their anti-gun and anti-gun owner agenda? My goodness. This isn’t about a gun it’s about another lunatic.
That didn’t sit well with someone who survived the shooting by hiding in a closet.
Carly Novell tweeted, “I was hiding in a closet for 2 hours. It was about guns. You weren’t there, you don’t know how it felt. Guns give these disgusting people the ability to kill other human beings. This IS about guns, and this is about all the people who had their lives abruptly ended because of guns.”
Others also responded to Tomi’s tweet. Here are couple of the top ones.
“The school shooter today didn’t act alone. He was assisted by the President, 52 Senators, and the NRA.” – @RachelGonKCMO
“Mental illness is global. Mass shootings are American. Signed, a licensed mental health clinician and bereaved parent.” – @Nelba_MG
