A Religious Advisor To President Trump Doesn’t Believe In The Flu Season
What? Great news since the flu season isn’t really real, right, there’s nothing to worry about?
Televangelist Gloria Copeland is sending a controversial and dangerous statement about the deadly flu season that has many doctors bewildered.
“Listen, partners, we don’t have a flu season,” Gloria Copeland, the wife of Texas megachurch preacher Kenneth Copeland, said last week. “We’ve got a duck season, a deer season, but we don’t have a flu season.”
In the Facebook video, Gloria says that Jesus already serves as our flu shot.
“And don’t receive it when somebody threatens you with, ‘Everybody is getting the flu.’ We’ve already had our shot, He bore our sicknesses and carried our diseases.” Gloria said. “That’s what we stand on.”
Her message is shocking, to say the least. According to the CDC officials, the flu has so far claimed the lives of more than 2,300 Texans.
The young and old are especially at risk this season with the H3N2 strain. The CDC says that 80 percent of deaths in children are due to the lack of vaccinations.
Now I’m a believer in God, and Jesus and I love God, but the message Gloria is sending is pretty insane.
The Christian Bible tells us not to put ourselves in harm’s way just to see if God will protect us.
Jesus responded, “The Scriptures also say, ‘You must not test the LORD your God.'” Luke 4:12.
We have a vaccine, and it helps to protect so we should use it. I just think that the Lord would not lift a finger if we didn’t do want we could on our end. That’s just common sense. This is just another example of twisting the ‘word’ around incoherently.
