‘The Tick’ Star Says He Regrets Participating In Woody Allen’s Latest Movie

Actor Griffin Newman has regrets participating in Woody Allen’s latest movie project Wonder Wheel because he believes the director is guilty of past allegations.

Woody has had some of his own controversies in the past.  The director says that although he feels compassion for all parties involved with the Weinstein sex allegations he hopes that this will not grow into a type of  ‘witch hunt’ for abusers.

“tragic for the poor women that were involved, sad for Harvey that his life is so messed up.” Woody Allen

Tick Actor, Newman, tweeted that after a long time debating, felt he had to clear his conscience since he believed Director Allen was guilty.

Newman says he thought the director was guilty since first reading about it years ago. 


Others commended the actor for taking a stance and standing up for what he believes in. 

While others criticized Newman’s tweets as “virtue signaling.”

The actor noted that with only 10K followers he had no expectation his tweets would make such an impact.
