Kellyanne Conway’s attempt to praise President Donald Trump on Twitter for “empowering women” didn’t go over well.
Conway’s praise came after Trump’s nomination of Kirstjen Nielsen to head of the Department of Homeland Security. In her tweet, she stated that it was a continuation of “his practice of elevating and empowering women to top positions.”
Nielsen is a 45-year-old security expert and current deputy to White House chief of staff John Kelly.
In a White House statement which described the nominee as “extensive professional experience in the areas of homeland security policy and strategy, cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, and emergency management.”
But Conway’s complement of the Potus received a lot of pushback.
Many tweeters reminded Conway about the disgusting comments Trump made on the now infamous 2005 “Access Hollywood” bus ride.
And here are some of their responses.
