A 40-year-old man was arrested after he called in a bomb threat trying to get out of his bill.
Police say Barry Clapperton is charged with threats to use weapons of mass destruction, public drunkenness, false identification to police, terroristic threats and escape.
WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh reports witnesses said the suspect attempted to leave the Primanti Brothers restaurant multiple times without paying for his meal.
Another person is said to have eventually paid the suspect’s meal which was a double meat sandwich.
The Associated Press reports police were about to let Clapperton go, but then he called in the bomb threat to a nearby restaurant.
Authorities were forced to use a stun gun on the suspect when he tried to flee the restaurant.
Clapperton eventually admitted he called in the bomb threat to get out of paying his bill.
