President Donald Trump made a cryptic statement of “the calm before the storm” while taking photos alongside military leaders and their spouses.
“You guys know what this represents? Maybe it’s the calm before the storm,” Trump said at the photo op Thursday night, following a meeting with his top military commanders.
Trump then followed up with another controversial statement worrying nearly everyone.
Trump replied: “It could be, the calm, the calm before the storm.”
When asked if Trump was referring to Iran or ISIS?
Trump replied: “We have the world’s great military people in this room, I will tell you that. And uh, we’re gonna have a great evening, thank you all for coming.”
When asked to clarify his statement, Trump responded with an ominous “you’ll find out.”
So could it be about Iran, ISIS, Korea and so on and so forth? Not having any concrete response left people worried.
One reporter summed the situation up.
The ‘calm before the storm’ was apparently a way for Trump to create yet another situation that causes concern for his adversaries both great and small.
Some were hoping to make light of the now infamous comment.
When pressed again for answers Trump thanked everyone and ended the photo op.
Some compared the incident to a reality show cliffhanger.
